George Washington University's president was giving out two four-year scholarships to surprised Banneker students Chidi Agbaeruneke and Adam Middleton on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.  Each scholarship worth about $220,000.00 which will covered tuition, textbooks, room and board.

GW has been awarding District high school students with full, four-year scholarships since 1989. Since its inception, the university has committed more than $16 million to the scholarship program.
